If you’re looking for a tasty breakfast with a view over London, Duck and Waffle is the perfect place to go. Situated in Alexandra Tower, it overlooks the Gherkin and much of central London.

The view was amazing and the service was great. We had pre-booked a table and received a text a couple of days before to confirm the reservation. On arrival, we had to give our details and were shown to the lifts. It felt very exclusive!

We were pretty peckish so decided to order some bread to start. We were given butter, strawberry jam, orange marmalade and some homemade chocolate spread. Of course, I had to try them all but the homemade chocolate spread had to be my favourite! It was nice to have a good choice of spreads.

Ok.. so as we went to Duck and Waffle, we had to get waffles! They’re known for combining interesting yet amazing combinations of flavours with their waffles. I was torn between a sweet option or savoury but opted for the savoury. Ox cheek benedict made with hens eggs and sriracha. The eggs were perfect, and the sriracha added extra flavour to the dish. I was really impressed and very happy with my choice! Will went for the classic ‘Duck and Waffle’, made with crispy leg confit, fried duck egg and mustard maple syrup.

The menu choices were great, we opted for the waffles however there was a lot of other choices on the menu as the restaurant is open 24/7 (which I thought was pretty cool!) Prices were more than your average breakfast, I would say between £15-20 for a waffle and drink. But not bad at all for the quality of food, and the amazing view!
